audience benchmarking

audience research | membership development | communication analysis | training | personality profiling | fundraising

There is nothing more important than knowing precisely why people buy into what you have to offer. And why they don’t.There is nothing more useful than knowing precisely how to push the buttons that will make more people respond to your proposition. Our benchmarketing analysis gives you those advantages simply, quickly and cost effectively.

This is marketing analysis for a new business age; traditional methods may produce findings that are interesting - but who these days has the time and budgets unless there is a quantifiable purpose and return? And who can afford to have campaigns hindered or derailed by the subjective opinions or guesswork of colleagues and agencies? ESP use benchmarketing, a process uniquely adapted from behavioural psychology to gain insights into your audience that are immediately actionable, useful and designed to repay your investment in improved results.

Psychographic Benchmarking

Essentially, using laddering techniques we seek to elicit and quantify the core question ‘how did you know that behaviour was right for you?

Once analysed and scored, these profiles can be directly compared and contrasted and support Brand and product planning and audience segmentation. They are also the source of ‘golden questions’ that can be used to profile other customers for targeted handling.

The process was augmented with the ability to deconstruct, analyse and psychographically profile any interaction or communication for that audience in order to optimise the effectiveness of those interactions.

These profiles can be directly compared with the audience profiles to objectively and quantitively assess their delivery of the audience psychographic traits and preferences – and thus their effectiveness.

Naturally, this ability has become a particularly valuable tool for clients in subsequent years and is reflected in our Client Experience.
